Itch.io gives creators the right to email purchasers of the games, mainly so they can send you a note that says "Hey version 2.0 is here."
A lot of TTRPG creators use it to say "If you like this game - I have a kickstarter that's going to have the print version."
And then there's this crowd that's using it to say "We have a patreon! free games for subscribers! Also we have a fundraising drive!" ... none of which is related to this particular game. So I'm blocking all of those; I will be fine if I miss out on this-particular-game's update info, if/when they happen.
